Let’s call it a self-care day

So I know everybody’s dying to know how my day went today! 

I normally go to the park near my house throughout the week after taking my baby to school. I like to go early because, I don’t know, the morning air just feels different? To just sit, listen to music while watching the squirrels, or taking walks, it’s always a good start to my day. Today, I decided to go & do yoga.

I used to do yoga outside every day when I stayed with my mom. But since moving, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to. One reason is that I don’t have a private yard, and even though I go to the park way too often, I think I was just a little too self-conscious about doing it there by myself while other people are around.

So, I’m really happy something I was initially hesitant about turned out to be incredibly refreshing and fulfilling. I left with the best attitude!

After leaving the park, I grabbed some Jamaican food. It’s small things like jerk chicken that bring me complete happiness! After getting home & taking the longest shower, I slipped on something cozy and watched The Idea of You for the third time because I’m a sucker for romcoms, and this one is just too cute! I’m in love with it!

Coming from the girliest of girls, I can sit and go on and on about the luxurious things: shopping, spa dates, treating myself to happy hour at Joey’s. But really, just spending the day at home in a cozy set, cooking lunch for myself, and watching movies all day is my favorite thing to do. One of the most peaceful days I’ve had this week.
